Why I Choose Liberty
- A former lifelong Democrat, I want to share some reasons why I chose to become a Libertarian. -
Lockdowns
Have you forgotten the COVID lockdowns when the government forced everyone to put down their livelihoods and sit at home waiting with baited breath to be told they can leave again? Not me. When Democrats and Republicans told us to stay home, Libertarians argued against taking away our liberties and freedoms.
Public Safety
Have you noticed the number of homeless that have increased exponentially since the lockdowns? I have, and I worry about our communities and what will happen to them if we don't take back public safety into our own hands and do something about it. We deserve less crime and less homeless, and Democratic and Republican policies continue failing to addressing this.
Economics
I've been interested in Economics since I studied for my Undergrad, and see the value in free market economics. You can't just print money to cover up your failings, and that's just what Democrats and Republicans have turned to in recent years for the mistakes they made during COVID. Time to take the reigns back out of the hands of the criminals in this country that are siphoning money out of our pockets.
Taxes
I don't mind paying taxes when I have a say over what they are used for and I think the money is being used wisely. Democrats and Republicans are continuously looking for ways to balance their budget, whether funding needless welfare programs or pumping money into their new favorite war. The tax money we pay is like revenue to to run their business of making more money. Let's put an end to Taxation Without Representation
